Here's something I find odd. When you click the Post Reply button at the bottom of a thread display and type the text of a new post, you have buttons labeled Submit Reply and Preview Post. If you click Preview Post, you see the preview, followed by a Submit Message button, then the text box, then the same Submit Reply and Preview Post buttons. The Submit Message and Submit Reply buttons do the same thing.
So we have three nouns for the same thing: Reply, Post, and Message!
I think the nouns should be the same, i.e., instead of
Submit Message and Submit Reply and Preview Post
the three buttons should be
Submit Reply and Submit Reply and Preview Reply
OR
Submit Post and Submit Post and Preview Post
OR
Submit Message and Submit Message and Preview Message
Of these three choices, I prefer
Submit Reply and Submit Reply and Preview Reply
because you clicked Post Reply to start the process.

Do you even have the SHSH blobs for 4.1?

My concern is if you have big fingers, or a poor grip strength, holding the thing will inadvertently set off the buttons if they are on the bezel

Have you tried running Windows 98 as virtual machine (VM) in Parallels Desktop or VMWare Fusion (both have demos to download) or VirtualBox? Windows 98 software is hardly that demanding, that it needs to run native, I could even run Command & Conquer via VM on my 2007 iMac once or twice.
THe problem with Windows 98 is getting drivers that are compatible with the new hardware, im assuming this is what the op's question is related to. And I would not use the two paid ones as demos personally. I have only had Parallels but once you install it, it drives itself deep into everything and after uninstalling according to all there documentation I was still finding crap with the || on it and even new files that are Windows like .exe were somehow getting the || badge on it.

I had the same problem with my brand new MacBook Pro(2011). I took it to the Genius Bar along with my Numa Nano. After trying it on a number of different MacBooks, we found that the problem was on all the new MacBooks(2011). The laptops from 2010 saw it fine....
So as I said, Apple and Numa don't agree on how USB MIDI should work. Avoid USB and use the two round MIDI ports or wait and hope Apple fixes this some day soon.

Thanks. On the subject of editing. I know a track can be muted, but what about a region (section) without having to mute the whole track? Can a region be muted separately?
Yes it can. Click the downward arrow:

My OOP is pretty good. I'll take at look at some literature this week on asp.net and sql server. Looks like a fun learning curve. This gig apparently is only going to be part time, so I doubt the app will be that big of a deal unless the people hiring are complete idiots. anyway thanks for the help.

Does your roommate use the same computer? Some DVD drives do not like certain dvd's. I've always used verbatim and have had no problems.

I am using maxell , I heard verbatim are the best but I dont want to waste the money when I am not able to burn them myself .

Since the Wiki doesn't sort by the word after "The" for things like "The Dock" and "The Trash" should they be changed to "Dock, The" and "Trash, The" or should redirects be put in (I don't care for redirects myself as they just make the index page twice as imposing). If I was looking for information on "The Dock" I would look under "D" and not "T". Actually I would search but you get my point.

Who knew waiting could be so fun?
Whenever the iPad 3 comes out, I might show up 24+ hours in advance as well just to have a good time.

Taiwan is not mainland China. Totally different labor situation and standard of living. They need to go to their local government and resolve it that way. Apple is a customer of this factory and has no control or responsibility for this factory. It's sad to see workers sickened but they need to seek help elsewhere.

Just please never give me a parallax 3D screen on my iPhone, or it'll induce vomiting. Until I can walk around in a 3D world and my brain doesn't know the difference between that virtual world and the real one, please let me stick with 2D!

How many people file when they sell something on ebay. Do they go by the amount you sell or every transaction? I am sure ebay could set up a system to track sales.
You're supposed to pay tax on your profits (not sales totals) from selling on ebay or other venues.
eBay transactions rarely involve cash, right? Just see to it that the banks (card manager/paypal/whatever), which have accountants anyway, handle the tax part.
So paypal or the banks would need to be your personal tax accountant and keep track of your purchases, expenses, etc.? What if some of your income is paid in cash? Should the person paying you be your personal tax accountant too?

I'd be surprised if anyone would buy anything this old, as it is probably too slow to do anything productive, and even the parts are so outdated that they would be of no use to anyone. You might get more interest if you offered to give it away for free, but in all honesty, if I owned such a machine these days, I would simply throw it out.
Sorry if I sound a little harsh. Just being realistic. :)

Hi everybody,
this is probably a question better asked on a Microsoft forum, but I fear to go to such places. ;)
So here's my dilemma... About year ago I bought a retail version of Windows 7 64-bit Professional and installed it on a Bootcamp partition of my 17" MacBook Pro. Then a month ago, in preparation for a house move/immigration, I decided to sell the machine and thus wiped the HD clean and reformatted and reinstalled OSX but left off the W7 partition, deciding to keep that myself.
However, the sale didn't go through and now the MBP is boxed up and in transit to my destination address. As is my W7 install disc...
So I find myself here, with a new Mac laptop, wanting/needing to install W7 once again (to run my license of Autodesk Softimage). Thankfully I added the W7 serial number to my 'Key chain' so I still have access to it. The question thus becomes; Is there some way to install W7 without having access to my original install disc? Can I download the install software somewhere? And how do I go about activating my license on my new machine?
Thanks for reading! :)

How it looks may ultimately depend on your TV, but generally it looks fine. Keep in mind it will not be as sharp as a monitor however because most graphics used in your apps were not built with a 10 ft. viewing experience in mind. Apps like Plex were built with this in mind and which is why the GUI still looks great 10 ft. away.
Not saying that other Apps will have horrible resolution, but something like typing a paper or sending an email will probably not be the best experience on such a large screen.
If I were you, I would not plan on doing everything on a 50 inch plasma. Things like Plex or maybe music composition are fine, but day-to-day computer tasks seem to be annoying on such a large screen. Maybe consider two different outputs if your setup allows for it.
Good luck

most people don't believe that microsoft has any Zune thunder to be stolen.
The other night i was out having drinks with a friend from Microsoft, he said that they lost over $4 Billion Dollars on the first Xbox system, that doesnt include money from the new xbox 360 they are losing at the start.
makes you wonder how much they are going to lose on the Zune. Seems like Microsoft wants to release the product for no good reason. except maybe to screw with Apple.
